Peyton Manning Personally Responds to Fans’ Wedding Invitation

An engaged couple pulled their own version of a Hail Mary pass, mailing out a wedding invitation to NFL quarterback Peyton Manning. And it worked, well sort of. 

Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos player will not be joining the bride and groom for cake and a game of catch, but he did respond to the couple's request. According to a Reddit post made by the brother of the bride-to-be, Manning "regretfully declined" the chance to attend Anna and James's nuptials.

Ignoring their bridal registry, Manning did give the couple an early wedding present, his autograph and "Best Wishes"  for the big day. It looks like football may be turning into the true gentleman's game.
