One of the things that first attracted me to country music was the "realness" of the artist. For the most part, country music artists seem to be the kind of people it would be fun to hang out with. And, they truly do care about the fans that care about them.

A great example of this is Rascal Flatts. Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus have been past winners of the ACM Humanitarian award for their work against childhood poverty and have been known to go out of the way more than once, just to make a fan smile.

Never was this more evident then when the trio made a trip to All Children's Hospital Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Tampa, to visit a special Rascal Flatts fan, who's battling cancer.
