Ronnie Dunn Concert Interrupted by Fire Alarm Scare

Ronnie Dunn made quite a lasting impression at his ‘Green Nights’ benefit concert Saturday night at Nashville’s historic Franklin Theatre. Halfway through the Brooks and Dunn hit ‘Ain’t Nothin’ ‘Bout You,’ Dunn and his fans were interrupted by the blaring of the venue’s fire alarms. Though the country star and his band finished their song, they did heed the warning to exit the stage until the venue could be deemed safe and fireless.

According to a press release, the crowd didn’t budge, but the fire department did arrive shortly after the alarms went off. After walking through the venue, they concluded that Dunn’s smoke machine had caused the alarms to sound and assured the band and their audience that it was safe to resume the show.

Once back onstage, Dunn and crew jumped right back into their set, offering up some new material from Dunn’s self-titled solo project, as well as some more Brooks and Dunn hits, including ‘My Maria,’ ‘Neon Moon,’ ‘Boot Scootin’ Boogie’ and ‘Cowgirls Don’t Cry.’

After years as half of the duo Brooks and Dunn, Ronnie Dunn released his solo record in June of 2011. He will be releasing his newest single from that project, ‘Let the Cowboy Rock,’ to radio on Jan. 17. He wrote the new single with acclaimed singer-songwriter Dallas Davidson.
