It's been several years since Ryan Beaver has been by to visit the show, but any time his name comes up, and it does, I hear he's doing well. He's out in Nashville, writing songs.

Hard to believe that it has been a little over five years since Constant was released. That album had three singles released to radio "For A While", "Hate", and "Nobody Wants to be Alone". "Hate" becoming his best charting song thus far in Texas, peaking at No. 2 on the Texas charts.

Before Constant, there was, Under the Neons, his first album, which made a Beaver fan out of me. "I Shoulda Kissed You", "Under the Neons", and "Streets of Austin", all great songs.

Well good news, Beaver's time away from new releasing new music is drawing to an end. His new album Rx is out this Friday, May 6. If you can't wait to hear it American Songwriter is streaming the entire album right now. Click here to listen to it.

Rx is the record that has consumed my world for the past three years. Everything about it received so much thought and attention to detail. It’s a project that turned out different and better than I could have ever imagined. I leaned on creativity and ran from complacency. It taught me about myself and somehow made me love music even more than I already did. I owe so many people for lending their talent to this record and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
