At this time of year, more than any other, problems seem bigger, heavier and more suffocating than at any other. That's why the Salvation Army is offering its “Getting Ahead in a Just Getting by World” classes.

Deadline for registering for the classes has been extended to Monday, January 9th, and applications are available at The Salvation Army, Department of Human Services, the Health Department, Great Plains Improvement Foundation, CrossRoads Headstart, United Way, and Family Promise. You can also register on-line at The Salvation Army Lawton Facebook page and the Lawton Grapevine Facebook page.

“Getting Ahead in a Just Getting by World" was developed by The Salvation Army to help individuals to get ahead of their problems and not just get by through exploring the impact that poverty has had on their lives and surroundings.
