Shania Twain cleans house in the music video for her single "Life's About to Get Good." Readers can press play above to watch the brand-new clip.

Directed by Matthew Cullen, the "Life's About to Get Good" music video finds Twain starting her day by opening some mail -- including a brochure for a tropical destination that turns her home into a paradise of its own. A group of brightly dressed housekeepers and resort staff members invade Twain's gray-and-white-trimmed home, urging Twain to purge the things she's hanging on to from her past -- though not that "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" music video costume! -- and add a little color to her life.

“I was at home, looking out at the ocean, and I said to myself, ‘Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it’s so beautiful out. I’m not in the mood to write a feeling-sorry-for-myself song,’” Twain recalls of the inspiration for “Life’s About to Get Good.” “You can’t have the good without the bad. And that’s what the song ended up being about.”

Written by Twain, alone, and produced by Matthew Koma and Ron Aniello, “Life’s About to Get Good” draws inspiration from Twain’s messy divorce from her former husband and producer, Robert John “Mutt” Lange. Its first verse goes, “I wasn’t just broken, I was shattered / I trusted you so much, you’re all that mattered / You no longer loved me, and I sang like a sad bird / I couldn’t move on and I think you were flattered.”

“Life’s About to Get Good” is the lead single from Twain’s first new album in 15 yearsNow. She debuted the song during her headlining set at the 2017 Stagecoach Country Music Festival; it’s also being used in NBC’s ads for their 2018 Winter Olympics coverage.

Now is due out on Sept. 29.
