In space, no one can hear you scream.

But everyone can see you smile.

This image, taken by NASA/ESA's Hubble Space Telescope captures a galaxy cluster that appears to be smiling (and proves the old cliche that a smile can indeed light up the sky).

NASA explains just what is making up the grinning image:

...the two eyes are very bright galaxies and the misleading smile lines are actually arcs caused by an effect known as strong gravitational lensing."

Far be it for us to get into the finer points of astronomy, so we'll just leave it at this: galaxy clusters are so strong and create such an intense gravitational pull that they can warp time and space, which is what happened here in creating the smile.

And that, class, is your science lesson for today.
