Red-dirt Country artist Stoney LaRue was arrested in Oklahoma City on Monday for domestic violence charges. He is currently out on bond.

According to police reports obtained by News9.com, Stoney returned to the apartment at 4 a.m. after a night of drinking. The victim went to her car to get some sleep and returned at 6:15 a.m. to get ready for work. She stated she began using a hair dryer and LaRue woke and complained about the noise. Then tossed her makeup bag down the stairs. When she bent over to retrieve some of the items LaRue allegedly pushed her from behind and she fell down the steps.

I want to apologize to my family, my friends and my fans for the recent circumstances that have come to light. I am going to take some time to work on myself. I will be entering an intensive and extensive program, and I appreciate your thoughts and good wishes for me during this trying time. Please check my website and Facebook for updates on my upcoming tour dates, but most importantly, I appreciate your support during this time.

I hope he gets the help he needs.
