You may have heard it at noon yesterday.  It may have caught you off guard.

It is Spring in SW Oklahoma.  That means alot of different things.  But one thing is for sure.  With the arrival of spring, there is always the chance of severe weather.

It can happen in a moments notice.  That is why the city of Lawton began the annual weekly testing of the storm sirens in and around Lawton yesterday.

According to Chris Killmer,Comanche County PIO,  the weekly testing of the City of Lawton outdoor warning devices (sirens) will  be conducted each Monday at noon weather permitting.

This test is important to ensure that they are all working properly so if and when the time comes, we hear them and heed their warning.
