Armed Forces Day Parade

The annual Lawton, Fort Sill Armed Forces Day Parade kicks off tomorrow morning at 10:00 am in downtown. It's the biggest and longest-running Armed Forces Day parade in the country. You won't want to miss it.

This Saturday, the streets of Lawton will welcome on of the nation’s largest Armed Forces Day parades. With a theme of “Legacy built on sacrifice”, this years parade will wind through the streets of downtown Lawton, coming to an end at Elmer Thomas Park on Northwest Ferris Avenue.

In an effort to ensure the safety of participants of the 2015 Armed Forces Day Parade, the route has been altered to avoid the continued construction on Fort Sill Boulevard.

From the Lawton/Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce: Come see the strength of our community as we celebrate our military with one of the largest Armed Forces Day parade in the country. The Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce will host the 50th anniversary parade on Saturday, May 17th at 10:00 a.m. The parade route will begin at 6th and C Avenue to Fort Sill Boulevard to Ferris Avenue.
