Ben Affleck Confirms That He’s Working on ‘Something’ With DC’s Geoff Johns
When the cast of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice took the stage at Comic-Con last summer, reports immediately surfaced that Ben Affleck was in talks to direct a new Batman solo film. And almost immediately following those reports, DC’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns revealed that he was indeed developing a new Batman film with Affleck. And while Warner Bros. hasn’t made anything official, and Affleck hasn’t formally signed on, the actor and new Batman has confirmed that he is working on “something” with Johns — gee, what could that be?

If you watched Batman vs. Superman, you probably left with a couple questions. A figure draped in black smashes through a skylight. With catlike grace, he descends into the room below. He is vengeance made flesh; the walking personification of the night and every fear of what lurks in the darkness. After a perfect landing, he speaks: “Hi Freeze. I‘m Batman!” And...

‘Batman v Superman’ Review: Titans Clash (Eventually, After Like Two Hours)
Zack Snyder makes superhero movies, but his characters don’t act very heroic. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice features all the other trappings of the superhero genre: Capes, gadgets, outlandish muscles, punching stuff. But the two stars aren’t noble or chivalrous; they’re violent, aggressive, and angry — mostly at each other instead of the bad guys. In Snyder’s formulation, protecting the world from evil isn’t a gift or a calling; it’s a burden. And that feeling is reflected in the movie itself, a burdensome 150- minute slog about two men fighting over who is in the right when both are very clearly in the wrong.

Telltale Games' Batman is coming for you and he's coming this summer. During the "Batman: Telltale Unmasked" panel at SXSW today, Telltale's team gathered to discuss the game in (little) detail, offering a bit of insight into what to expect from its second DC Comics adventure game. While much of the game is still very much under wraps, Telltale did spill the beans on the release window. Summer might not be a definitive timeline, but there are several major conventions during those few months wherein a more concrete announcement might take place. The other major reveal was more about the tone of the upcoming Batman adventure, which will stay very much in line with previous Telltale games like The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead. While this won't be the first time a potentially "M" rated Batman game will see release, the panel compared it to an R-rated film, which may raise some eyebrows. There's been a bit of consternation around the director's cut of the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice feature, and knowing that Telltale's game might be in that same vein might turn a few fans off.

Just over a week will see gods and men brawl for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, firmly cementing Henry Cavill’s broody Man of Steel and Ben Affleck’s somehow-less-broody Dark Knight as our live-action DC mainstage. The cast of The Flash has their own take on who might win the day, even as the movies summarily refuse to acknowledge their existence.

In Detective Comics #27, when he first appears courtesy of Bill Finger and Bob Kane, Batman isn't really Batman just yet. He's the Shadow with a different set of clothes. Over the course of that first year, you can see the pieces start to fall into place that would stay there for the next seven decades, forming the foundation of the Batman that we still have today --- and in Detective Comics #38, released March 5th 1940, the final piece of the puzzle appears when we're introduced to Dick Grayson, better known as Robin, the Boy Wonder.
