If you haven't heard the news yet all of Comanche County, OK. is currently under a burn ban. The Comanche County Board of Commissioners met Monday and voted to enact a burn ban which will remain in effect for the next 2 weeks or until ground conditions improve and the high fire danger/risk lessens.

It was a crazy and unexpected storm yesterday evening in Comanche County. Mother Nature became moody and let loose with rain, high winds, tons of lighting and thunder, and even some hail. It's late in the season for this type of storm, but it's Oklahoma so anything can happen at any time weatherwise.

The Comanche County Spring Livestock Show is a community event to say the least.  I have been attending the show since I moved to Lawton.  It not only showcases some of the best livestock from  Cache, Chattanooga, Elgin,Fletcher,  Geronimo, Indiahoma, Sterling, and Lawton, but also features some of the most dedicated and hard working young adults from two great clubs; 4H and FFA.

The Comanche County Spring Livestock show is underway at the Comanche County Fairgrounds, 920 S.
