TV series adapted from Sylvester Stallone’s greatest hits haven’t fared so well between Rambo or The Expendables, but the latter at least may yet fight another day. After FOX passed on the prospect, The Expendables TV series will be shopped to other networks by producer Shane Brennan.

It was a busy Season 2 finale for FOX’s Gotham, wrapping up the battle against B.D. Wong’s Hugo Strange, while introducing the Court of Owls, pitting Mr. Freeze against Firefly, and somehow managing to work a Fish Mooney-mob showdown atop the setup for Season 3. The final moments opened a pretty big can of worms for future villains as well, though at least one sounded deliberately familiar to fans.

We’re just hours from Gotham wrapping up a season that brought us Bat-villains like Hugo Strange, Mr. Freeze and Clayface, but will Season 3 delve even deeper into the prepubescent Dark Knight’s rogues? Producers confirm some rumored additions like the Mad Hatter and more members of the Court of Owls, perhaps even Vicki Vale.

Once the nostalgia abated, FOX’s X-Files revival pretty quickly started to sour fans by its awkward mix of mythology and stand-alone episodes, as well a cliffhanger ending that immediately demanded resolution. Well, strap in for another long wait, as FOX won’t get around to an X-Files Season 11 until at least 2017.

Following its initial orders, FOX didn’t waste much time setting up a schedule for the 2016-17 season, including similar event series bows as 24: Live Another Day and The X-Files. This time around, 24: Legacy and Prison Break will get the big midseason debuts, while newer shows like Lethal Weapon will bow on Wednesdays.

Sleepy Hollow fandom found itself in an understandable uproar by the Season 3 finale seemingly killing off co-lead Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), an essential chemistry that made the series possible in the first place. A fourth season subsequently seemed a longshot, but now those crazy FOX folk have decided to give it a try, renewing Sleepy Hollow to go solo in Season 4.

It’s that magical, terrifying time of year when series orders and cancellations go out; the new additions releasing their first photos and trailers. So it was with FOX yesterday, and now our first looks at 24 continuation 24: Legacy have arrived, along with movie reboots The Exorcist and Lethal Weapon.

And so, it begins. FOX already got the ball rolling on its new 2016 series with the order of 24: Legacy, and now a number of other reboots have taken hold. Not only has the new take on The Exorcist gotten an official greenlight, so too has the Lethal Weapon reboot, Lord and Miller’s time-travel comedy, a baseball drama and more.

It’s safe to say that Gotham has been playing on a different field of late, when the same episode can see Hugo Strange sending Mr. Freeze after a mutant claw girl created in part by Thomas Wayne, and now another villain has arrived to dispense some wrath. Or … rise. Whatever Gotham villains are doing with subtitles these days. Anyway, here’s Clayface!

The Simpsons has had plenty of chances to experiment in its 27+ years, but will venture surprisingly modern (as in to the second) with an upcoming “live” segment animated by motion-capture. A first look at the new clip has arrived, but will The Simpsons ever stage an entirely live episode?

FOX’s Gotham has officially confirmed that the Bat-prequel will deliver a third season of early origins for the Caped Crusader and his ilk, but Season 2 is far from finished. Joining the ranks of Hugo Strange and Mr. Freeze, we now know that muddy Bat-baddie Clayface has been cast.

Like The X-Files before it, FOX’s Prison Break revival wouldn’t prove half so fun without returning cast, and now another two names have been added to roll call. That’s right, Robert Knepper will return as Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell, alongside Rockmund Dunbar as Benjamin Miles “C-Note” Franklin.
