Today is the day, we're finally going to see Zack Snyder's Justice League! You can stream the new film on HBO Max, it was released earlier today (03-18-21). I can't wait to hit play on this! With a run time of around 4 hours the "Synder Cut" should redeem the DC Universe and the Justice League once and for all!

Justice League is set to be Warner Bros. biggest superhero team-up film yet, with metahumans we’ve met and a few we haven’t coming together to fight against injustice. Even those who aren’t traditionally members of the team are in for this fight, including a few of Wonder Woman’s Themysciran compatriots.

One of the odd concerns of opening your cinematic universe with two of its biggest crossover events  —  Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League  —  is deciding where to place the standalone movies. Take Wonder Woman, for example. Rather than move forward in the modern era, Wonder Woman circled back to World War I to introduce the character of Diana Prince and her family history. Do you do the same thing with movies like Aquaman and Flash? Walk audiences through their origin stories and get to know some of the supporting characters in their universe? Or do you move forward after the events of Justice League and pick people up along the way?

Just before Suicide Squad hit theaters, there were reports that Warner Bros. had created their own competing cut of of the film, suggesting that director David Ayer’s vision had been compromised by studio interference. If the latest rumor is to be believed, then Justice League might be experiencing similar turbulence, as a new report claims that Zack Snyder’s superhero team-up film has undergone extensive reshoots, with even more on the horizon.

This new international trailer for Justice League isn’t nearly as long as the domestic trailers, but the latest sneak peek at Zack Snyder’s ambitious superhero team-up should hold you over until the next full-length preview drops. And despite its compact runtime, it does feature a little bit of new footage while teasing the mysterious new villain that will bring these heroic titans together, all set to a generic heavy rock cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together” that was clearly lifted from Snyder’s iPod circa 2001.

When we last left the caped crusader, things weren’t looking all that bright. Sure, he had a new super-friend in the form of Diana Prince, but Superman — the complete-stranger-turned-mortal-enemy-turned-best-friend in Batman’s life — has sacrificed his life to protect Earth (or something) and now the weight of protecting our planet rested heavily on the shoulders of Bruce Wayne. If Wayne could organize others like him, then maybe Earth could stand a fighting chance.

A new Batman vehicle demands, in a more literal sense, a new Batman vehicle. As Ben Affleck prepares to don the cape and cowl once more to reprise the role of Bruce Wayne in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League movie, modifications have also been made to his singular whip, the teched-out Batmobile. Snyder applied his bigger-is-better filmmaking ethic to the Batmobile in last year‘s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, diverging from Christopher Nolan’s utilitarian, industrial look towards something a little more tanklike. And today, Snyder’s taken to his favored social media channel of Vero to offer fans an advance look at what the latest edition of the Batmobile has to offer.

While fans sit at home and worry about the behind-the-scenes struggles of The Batman and Flash, Zack Snyder keeps moving right along with that Justice League movie. A common complaint of the DC Cinematic Universe is that they haven’t let it bake in the oven enough; each character has a decent foundation in place with the supporting characters and visuals, but rather than build them up organically, Warner Bros. has chosen to throw them all together and hope things shake out for the best.

These are dark days for the Dark Knight.

Rough year for Ben Affleck, noted Jennifer Garner spouse and one-time star of Gigli. His big starring vehicle Batman v Superman made a whole lot of money but was critically reviled almost across the board, his latest directorial effort Live by Night got a quiet and unceremonious limited release that was buried in the holiday craziness, he was spotted sadly vaping in a car, and now a pall of uncertainty has been cast over his future. He’s confirmed for Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League crossover, but Affleck’s relationship with the Dark Knight’s cowl and cape may be getting a bit strained. In a new interview, Affleck indicated that what was once presumed to be set in stone is, in fact, still up for debate.
