‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ can be a tedious song to sing (and listen to), so Jimmy Fallon livened it up a bit on Wednesday’s ‘Late Night.’

Instead of three French Hens, eight maids-a-milking, and six geese a-laying, Fallon and his ‘Late Night Carolers’ sang about Charlie Sheen, Kim Kardashian, the Royal wedding, Herman Cain, Occupy Wall Street, and other big news stories from 2011.

So when Justin Bieber announced that he was recording a Christmas album for this year’s holiday season, it automatically became one of the fourth quarter’s most highly anticipated releases.

At this point, Bieber could probably hum carols through a kazoo and turn it into a hit, but give him credit for not phoning it in — not only will his Christmas collection reportedly consist of all original tunes, but he’s lining up some high-profile guest stars from across the musical spectrum, including young country act the Band Perry.

According to WWD, this makes it Vanity Fair's lowest selling issue since July of 1999, when it was Will Smith's mug that was repelling potential magazine buyers in airports and supermarket checkout lines.

There’s no escaping Justin Bieber these days – not on the radio, not at a theater near you, not at the NBA All-Star Game and not at the CMT Music Awards, where the 17-year-old recently picked up an award for Collaborative Video of the Year.

Though some country fans might have been taken aback to see Bieber sharing a screen with Rascal Flatts in the video for “That Should Be Me,” he came by his affection for the genre the good old-fashioned way: from his mother.

“It’s great,” Bieber said after the show. “It’s so many people my mother admires, ’cause she loves country music, and I do too. So it’s really great to be here with Rascal Flatts.”
