Last week brought an appropriately silly-seeming first look at Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig’s surprise Lifetime movie A Deadly Adoption, though the full trailer paints a decidedly different picture. The spoof is subtler, but just what kind of movie will A Deadly Adoption turn out to be?

Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig’s forthcoming Lifetime movie A Deadly Adoption has had a winding road to completion, first leaking to the press, then (jokingly?) canceled over the report, then back on. Now, there’s no stopping A Deadly Adoption (or a speeding truck) as Lifetime releases the first dramatic footage.

A few key members of the SNL cast and crew must love “The Californians” because the much-derided sketch was brought back to life for the show’s star-studded 40th anniversary special. For those of us who have always enjoyed this bizarre sketch (and there are about three of us), it’s a welcome return and we will greedily drink up the angry tears of everyone else.

Since the news of an all-female 'Ghostbusters' was announced, we've all had lots of fun attempting to reverse-gender cast the film. Melissa McCarthy! Amy Poehler! Emma Stone!! All that speculation has come to an end. Director Paul Feig tweeted a picture of four women that serves as your an official reveal of the new 'Ghostbusters' cast.

Besides a funny opening monologue, the 2015 Golden Globes were kinda...boring? Which is weird, because the Golden Globes are supposed to be a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them. Their entire existence is pretty much to be the boozy, irreverent cousin to the Oscars. But, next year hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler won't be back to host (their three-year contract ended this year) and based on this awards presentation, we think they should give Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader a chance.

The unfortunate and untimely death of the great Jan Hooks this past week sent the comedy world into mourning, with countless writers and comics stepping forward to pay tribute to the late 'SNL' star. It could have been easy for this week's new episode to gloss over the passing of one of their own (it is a comedy show, after all), but 'SNL' has always been a slightly class institution -- it remembers those who came before.

These days 'SNL' movies are a bit few and far between (come on, 'MacGruber 2'!), but at least some of their success lives on with legendary classics like 'Wayne's World or 'The Blues Brothers.' At this point, any new 'Ghostbusters' movie has been fancasted within an inch of its life. Any actor working today under the age of 40? They've been considered for the 'Ghostbusters' movie. Shoot, there's a chance you were considered to star in the 'Ghostbusters' movie. So, there's no point in going over yet another list of who should star in 'Ghostbusters 3' or whatever it is they're calling it these days. Unless, of course, the person who made that list is Bill Murray. In that case, *in rapt*.

It has to be hard being the parent of a superstar. Think of all the bad gossip you have to see splashed on the rags at your local grocery store checkout lane, or the weird opinions from total strangers on social media. People probably ask you for loans a lot. Still, there's one thing that has to be, hands down, the worst part of being the parent of a celebrity: the sex scenes.

Over the weekend it was announced that Paul Feig is in negotiations to direct an all-female version of ‘Ghostbusters 3,’ which is the first bit of news to get us seriously interested since Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s names were briefly attached earlier this year. Feig, who also brought us ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘The Heat,’ has given us some hilarious and truly great female-driven films. By making the new ‘Ghostbusters’ women, this project has so much more potential because there are so many insanely funny and talented women out there. We couldn’t help but put together a list of who we think should star in an all-female ‘Ghostbusters 3.’

For the most part, we haven’t seriously involved comedians in the discussion of how to solve global warming, even though their wildly creative minds could hold the key to this planetary problem That all changed during a recent meeting of  The Clinton Foundation’s Celebrity Division when Kristen Wiig offered her answer.
