Story by Nancy Mace and James Meeks The Carson and Barnes Circus came to town on May 2 at Elmer Thomas Park. Before their first show the circus called upon the Lawton Firefighters to assist in cleaning their elephants.

If you find yourself at the corner of Sheridan & Cache Road anytime over the next 3 days, chances are you'll see Lawton Firefighters there - boots in hand - raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Their annual 'Fill The Boot' campaign is underway today (Tuesday) until 6pm, Wednesday & Thursday from 8:30am to 6pm each day.
