For the last couple of years, Robert Downey Jr. has said that there are no plans for a fourth Iron Man movie — and he hasn’t appeared to be interested in making another one, to be honest. And that fact is seemingly supported by his Marvel contract, which does not include another solo outing beyond Iron Man 3. When (and if) Marvel re-ups the actor’s contract, that could very well be subject to change, when (and if) Downey Jr. is open to it. That time appears to be now.

Last week, when Marvel’s Kevin Feige revealed that Inhumans would be delayed (again) in order to avoid conflict with Disney’s release of Indiana Jones 5, it was sort of assumed that the film would probably disappear from Phase 3 altogether. It’s all very much happening — following Sony and Marvel’s reveal of the official title and logo for Spider-Man: Homecoming, casting has already begun, as the studios are eyeing Michael Keaton for a villainous role in the web-slinger’s new reboot. As promised last week, the first trailer for Doctor Strange has arrived to tease a more mystical, psychedelic corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s hard not to think that Marvel’s latest promo for Captain America: Civil War was inspired by the fan-made “Road to Civil War” super-cut from a couple of weeks ago. Like that video, the official “The Past Is Prelude” teaser takes us through the evolution of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, from their first solo films all the way through Avengers: Age of Ultron and into Civil War. It’s much shorter than that fan-made super-cut, but it still packs an emotional punch.
