The cast of Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters are set to appear on The Graham Norton Show on June 23, but a couple of clips from their delightful episode have popped up online, including one in which Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy — at Feig’s urging — perform their “folk lady” version of the classic theme song. As an added bonus, their sharply-dressed director gets slimed, straight-up Nickelodeon style.

Yes, yes, our old pal Stay Puft the giant marshmallow man is back in these new TV spots for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters, but the real delight here is watching Melissa McCarthy fire her proton pack at the crotch of a huge, sinister version of the iconic logo. “How do you like that?!” she shouts, and I think the only response is, "Very much, please continue."

And if that’s not enough for you, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy each have their very own featurette, offering a proper intro to their respective characters along with a little dose of new footage.

There has been a lot of skepticism about the new Ghostbusters. Would Paul Feig and his new cast pull it off? Would angry fanboys lose their minds before the movie came out? There was a lot of anxiety. But it’s hard to ignore an endorement like the one the new Ghostbusters got on Jimmy Kimmel Live! from the original Ghostbusters.

We don’t yet have a formal premiere date for Netflix’s officially-titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life revival, but that hasn’t stopped fan anticipation for catching up with their favorite Stars Hollow characters. And where Melissa McCarthy’s Sookie St. James seemed touch and go for awhile, a first photo of McCarthy back in costume has arrived.

Aside from having a great title, Can You Ever Forgive Me? has been attracting some truly great talent. Enough Said director Nicole Holofcener was originally attached to helm the true-life drama with Julianne Moore set to play the leading role, and while they both dropped out, they’ve been replaced by equally exciting names: Melissa McCarthy and The Diary of a Teenage Girl director Marielle Heller.

Director Paul Feig has maintained that his new Ghostbusters movie isn’t a sequel or a remake, but a reboot. Basically, it ignores the fictional events and characters depicted in Ivan Reitman’s classic 1984 film — which makes the first trailer for Feig’s movie a bit confusing. If you count yourself among those who were baffled by the trailer, then you can rest easy with the knowledge that someone who is actually in the movie is also confused. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have any answers for you.

‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival Sets Melissa McCarthy’s Return as Sookie St. James, Finally
After months of uncertainty and an awkward public back-and-forth between Melissa McCarthy and Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, it’s finally, officially, 100 percent all happening. Yes, McCarthy is returning to reprise her role as Sookie St. James, the greatest (and clumsiest) chef in Stars Hollow, and the most reliable pal a cool single mom like Lorelai Gilmore could hope for.

‘The Boss’ Review: A Shockingly Unfunny Melissa McCarthy Movie
There’s a scene in The Boss where Melissa McCarthy’s character, a disgraced business mogul named Michelle Darnell, tries to rebuild her financial empire by going to a country club to woo potential investors. Her pitch goes badly, from both a practical perspective and a comedic one. Not realizing one of the investors’ wives is dead, she mocks her and calls her terrible names, and basically makes a fool out of herself. None of this is funny. The conversation goes on and on, fumbling for some kind of ending, until Michelle excuses herself and then suddenly and randomly falls down a flight of stairs. End of scene.

You just can't have Ghostbusters without proton packs. It's so bright you might need shades just to look at the photo.

Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters hits theaters in just five months, and while we’ve seen plenty of photos and toys based on the upcoming film, we’ve yet to see any actual footage. That sort of changes today, as Sony has released an announcement trailer featuring the first glimpse of footage (it’s quite foreboding) along with the promise of a real, honest-to-goodness trailer…in March.
