Thompson Square‘s new video for ‘Glass,’ called ‘Glass (Version T2),’ is somewhat somber and artful, which fits the tone of the song, a contemplative and emotionally resonant ballad. The original video was low key without much action and there is more stuff going on in this new version.
Thompson Square put a big end to Sugarland‘s rein as the Academy of Country Music’s Vocal Duo of the Year Saturday night (March 31), when they were presented with the trophy for this year’s award show one night early.
Thompson Square singer Shawna Thompson’s father died on Thursday afternoon (Feb. 23), according to a sad statement on the duo’s website. “It is with extremely heavy hearts to inform you all that Shawna’s father George Michael ‘Mickey’ Mcilwain passed away yesterday,” the post reads.
Very little happens during the video for Thomspson Square‘s new song ‘Glass,’ but subtle movements and reactions go a long way. The recently-released clip is heavy on close-ups of the married country duo and full of dark, fragile emotion.
Well wishes for a speedy recovery to the father of Thompson Square‘s Shawna Thompson, who had surgery this week. Shawna informed fans that he was heading into the hospital the night prior to his surgery, asking them to keep him in mind.
Thompson Square won Single of the Year by a Group, Single by a New Artist and Video by a New Artist all for ‘Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not’ at the 2011 American Country Awards.
Thompson Square sure didn’t look nervous when they took the stage at the 2011 CMA Awards to sing their Top 10 hit ‘Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not.’
