Thompson Square's Keifer Thompson has been pretty quiet lately -- literally. The duo has cancelled several shows while he's rested his vocal chords. He was even instructed to not speak for two weeks. Recently, the singer shared some good news about his vocal future.

It's back to basics for Thompson Square. The duo's new single 'Everything I Shouldn't Be Thinking About' is a no-tricks, easy-to-embrace love song that finds the married couple having a conversation as comfortable as, "What's for dinner?"

The best songs on Thompson Square's new album 'Just Feels Good' sound like a conversation between the two married lovers. Early on, their back-and-forth is light and playful. Later ballads take a more somber tone, but all that find the 'If I Didn't Have You' singers sharing lead are highlights from the duo's sophomore project.

Thompson Square were going to give it one more shot and then move on to something else. The married duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson say they had one more showcase as a duo lined up, and if that didn't work out, well ... fans would never know hit songs like 'Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not' or 'If I Didn't Have You.' Fortunately that performance led to a deal with Stoney Creek Records.
