Kids today might think they have great options to choose from when it comes to Christmas presents. But any adult knows that the Christmas presents we got as kids were way cooler. And according to this list, we’re right.A department store in England looked at its records dating way back to 1950, and came up with a list of the most popular toys that have been sold during the holidays. Here are the top ten.

Cabbage Patch Dolls are a line of dolls  created by American art student Xavier Roberts in 1978. It was originally called "Little People". The original dolls were all cloth and sold at local craft shows. The doll brand went on to become one of the most popular toy fads of the 1980s and one of the longest-running doll franchises in America.

Rubik's Cube is a 3-D combination puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Emo Rubik. Originally called the "Magic Cube", the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toy Corp.  As of January 2009, 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide, making it the world's top-selling puzzle game.

Monopoly  is an American-originated board game, originally published by Parker Brothers, subtitled "The Fast-Dealing Property Trading Game," the game is named after the economic concept of monopoly — the domination of a market by a single entity. It is produced by the United States game and toy company Hasbro. Players move around the game board buying or trading properties, developing their properties with houses and hotels, and collecting rent from their opponents, the ultimate goal being to drive them into bankruptcy.

Teletubbies

 
 

British children's TV series targeted at pre-school viewers and produced from 31 March 1997 to 5 January 2001. The toys hit the stores soon after and were a huge success as well, but just like Barbie, they had their own world of controversy.  Many of the toys you can find on Ebay or Amazon.

Furby (Furbys or Furbies) are electronic robotic toys resembling a hamster or owl-like creatures which went through a period of being a "must-have" toy following its launch in the holiday season of 1998, with continual sales until 2000. Over 40 million Furbies were sold during the three years of its original production, with 1.8 million sold in 1998, and 14 million in 1999. Its speaking capabilities were translated into 24 languages.
