The Avett Brothers' "Ain't No Man" music video has been named the year's best by The Boot's readers. They voted the clip Music Video of the Year in the 2017 Golden Boot Awards!

"Ain't No Man" earned a whopping 77.23 percent of the votes in the 2017 Golden Boot Awards Music Video of the Year poll. The Avett Brothers' clip beat out Florida Georgia Line and Tim McGraw's video for "May We All;" Luke Bryan's "Fast" music video; Brett Eldredge's "Wanna Be That Song" clip; Brad Paisley's "Today" music video; and Sturgill Simpson's music video for "All Around You."

"Ain't No Man" is the first single from the Avett Brothers' 2016 album True Sadness. Its accompanying music video was directed by Scott Avett and features a cameo from none other than NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson. The clip finds Avett at the Asheville Regional Airport in North Carolina: The camera follows him from the check-in line through security (where he gets stopped a time or two) and onto the plane.

“I feel like “Ain’t No Man,” kind of, there is a higher level to it,” Avett Brothers bassist Bob Crawford says of the single. “I’m trying to avoid the word ‘religion’ and ‘spiritual,’ but there is something about finding your place in the universe, or being able to put your finger on where you sit in this life, whatever your religion is or your worldview is.”
