The Hills Have Been Alive for Over 53 Years! [VIDEO]

The Sound of Music celebrated it's 53rd Anniversary just one week ago.  The movie is dearly loved and Julie Andrews was the perfect Maria Von Trapp.

Country superstar Carrie Underwood got the nod to play Von Trapp in the CBS Live version of the Sound of Music.  Her performance while musically was right on target, took some beating from critics.  I have to think that doing the show live, and being her first major acting roll, she did a fantastic job.  Even Julie Andrews marveled at what an undertaking it was to do that show live for television when she visited with Larry King
