”The Story Of Us” – Taylor Swift

 There's no happy ending in the new Taylor Swift video for "The Story of Us."

She premiered the video on MTV last Tuesday night. As in the song, the relationship starts out with hope. Then, the love connection divebombs and never recovers.

At least, that's what happens from her character's perspective. But, Taylor and everyone in the video look good while it happens.

The video is set in the library of an unnamed Ivy League college. She says everyone in the video is a member of her band or stage show.

 They're all look preppie. For part of the time, Taylor wears glasses to add to the look. After the video debuted, she told Sway Calloway of MTV News, the song was inspired by running into an old flame at an awards show.

 She calls it "that excruciating, awful moment when you run into an ex for the first time."
