Heart of America Carnival

The Heart of America carnival will be held at the Great Plains coliseum parking lot nightly from 6 p.m. to close. Sunday the hours are 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The carnival offers numerous rides, games and food. There is a variety of children’s rides for the younger group like the merry-go-ground and the gator roller coaster. Plenty of faster and exciting rides for the more adventurous. For the little faster, but still gentle rides they have the new gondola, swings and the favorite – the ferris wheels. For the thrill seekers they offer the tsunami, gravitron, kami kaze and more! Tickets are available at the gate. You can purchase an all day, every day pass for $30 or a one night pass for $20.

You saw their stock at the Lawton Rangers rodeo, now you can see them in their home town of Elk City. For over 70 years, Elk City has hosted one of the most renowned rodeos in the state of Oklahoma. The PRCA Rodeo of champions is held every Labor Day weekend at the Beutler Brothers Arena and it brings in thousands of visitors to watch the top-ranked cowboys and cowgirls compete for cash and points as they ride, rope or wrestle their way to win national titles.
