Thomas Rhett is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the country music arena. Southwest Oklahoma and the city of Lawton are set to host the "Taste of Country Christmas Tour" featuring Rhett on the 9th of November at CW Scooters!  I am amped for this event, this will be my first concert as a member of the KLAW Morning Crew.  While reviewing information on the concert series, I came across the resume and accomplishments of Thomas Rhett Akins and quickly became impressed with this young man. His bio includes the following:   Co-writer of the song "I Ain't Ready to Quit" on Jason Aldean's 2010 album My Kinda Party and signing a recording contract with Big Machine Records' Valory Music Group division in 2011. In early 2012, he released his debut single, "Something to Do with My Hands", followed later the same year by "Beer with Jesus". Both of these made Top 20 on the Country Airplay charts. His third single is "It Goes Like This". His debut album, also titled It Goes Like This, will be released on October 29.

Rhett also co-wrote the 2013 singles "1994" by Jason Aldean, "Parking Lot Party" by Lee Brice, and "Round Here" by Florida Georgia Line. During the chart week of September 21, 2013, the Country Airplay chart included five songs within the Top 10 that Rhett or his father, Rhett Akins, had co-written, including "It Goes Like This".

This is one that you do not want to miss, tickets are available at Townsquare Media, Crutchers For the West (Lawton and Duncan), and online at KLAW.com.
