If you can pinch the brass right off a penny, TLC may be looking for you — it’s currently casting for its new reality show, ‘Extreme Cheapskates.’

The same network that’s brought us highbrow fare like ‘Toddlers & Tiaras,’ ‘My Strange Addiction’ and ‘Hoarding: Buried Alive’ also found success last year with ‘Extreme Couponing,’ a show in which an obsession with cost-saving at the grocery store has resulted in $1,000 grocery bills being brought down to almost nothing.

Possibly as an offshoot to that program, TLC ran one episode of ‘Extreme Cheapskates’ in late 2011. It featured people who do things like splitting inexpensive double-ply toilet paper in half to double how long it’ll last and one woman who even makes her own toilet tissue from fabric that she washes after every use (we really, really hope that’s true).

But since the American appetite for weird reality shows can apparently never be sated, just one episode of ‘Extreme Cheapskates’ wasn’t enough — so TLC has been posting casting calls on sites like Craigslist to attract people willing to show off their freaky tendencies to a national audience.
