You know, when you work in radio you really don't get a lot of time to really listen to music let alone an entire album.  I was curious about Toby Keith's new album Clancy's Tavern.  So, while I was working on stuff for our websites I thought I would take a listen to the album.  My opinion?  I know it's not worth much but here it is...  I really liked it!  OK, I will admit I'm not a huge Toby Keith fan but every once in awhile he surprises me with a really good ballad.  Now, I won't say I loved every song on the album.  As far as I'm concerned he could have left track 10 off the album entirely.  Let me show you what his reaction was to the song.

The catchy ditty was written by Brett and Brad Warren and Brett and Jim Beavers, and Keith said it wasn’t pitched to him to record but just sent to him as an MP3.

“It was ‘listen to what I heard last night,’ one of them deals. I played it, I laughed out loud, and my first comment was, ‘That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. That is stupid; somebody wrote a song about red plastic cups,’” Keith said.

I personally think it's a stupid song as well and it's not because I used to work at the Solo Cup plant in Ada that I'm saying it.  It doesn't fit with the rest of the songs on the CD.  So, when I ripped it to my mp3 player Track 10 mysteriously disappeared from the playlist.

What do you think of Track 10?  Red Solo Cup
