1988   Apparently, The Devil Came To SoCal To Visit

The Charlie Daniels Band escaped injury after their motor home burst into flames on a freeway in southern California. The band was returning from playing at the Ventura County fair when the incident occured.

All six people on board the motor home, including Daniels, fled just before the 40-foot motor home burst into flames shortly before midnight. "It didn't really start blazing until we were all off" said band manager David Corlew, adding "there's never a dull moment when you spend your life on the road."

The Devil could not be reached for comment.
