2009 Sugarland's Relationship With WalMart Brought Into Question
Kristian Bush of Sugarland visited independent music store Decatur CD in Georgia, after the owner criticized the duo for releasing Live On The Inside exclusively through Walmart. He delivered autographed merchandise for the owner to sell, but no albums.
The exclusive release would go on to be ranked as the 28th best selling album of 2009, while the original non-exclusive release, Love On The Inside, would be listed at #10 for the year. The album featured the singles All I Want To Do, It Happens, Joey and Already Gone.

Keith Urban presents the keys to a new home to Regina Olum in Knoxville, TN. The home is part of Habitat For humanity's Music Row program.

Darius Rucker's debut country album, Learn To Live was certified platinum by the RIAA for sales of 1 millions copies. The album charted three number one singles: "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," "It Won't Be Like This for Long," and "Alright." Learn to Live is Rucker's best-selling solo album to date, and is his only solo album to go platinum.

Johnny Cash's album Johnny Cash at San Quentin was certified gold. The album was a follow-up to Cash's previous live album, the critically acclaimed and commercially successful At Folsom Prison.
The album was nominated for a number of Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and won Best Male Country Vocal Performance for "A Boy Named Sue."
