As millions of families are sitting down to their traditional Thanksgiving feasts of oven baked or fried turkey, green bean casserole, stuffing, and multitudes of desserts. Some families will break with tradition to spice up this age old feast with such delicacies as Velveeta Cheesecake or bacon wrapped turkey and even more outlandish creations. Check out these wild meals!The first stop on our electric foodie trip is a humane one (depending on what side of the table you’re on) this meal was made without ending the existence of a single living creature. Vegans across the nation rejoice as you slice into a holiday ball of Tofurkey. Can’t you just smell the turkey flavored soy bean curd now?

Maybe your conscience is at ease with consuming the traditional turkey but feel that you need to bring the flavors of the Far East into the mix. It is my distinct honor to present to you Thanksgiving Sushi. It’s all your favorite flavors of a traditional Thanksgiving fair wrapped in a sushi roll, a rice and seaweed tube, and sliced into edible little disks and served with gravy for dipping!

And now the newest victim of the this trend is our beloved Thanksgiving meal. Innovative home chefs have taken it to the next level by bacon wrapping their bird. Although, there is a possible benefit the bacon would keep your turkey from drying out so the fear of over cooking could be removed!

Now, we come to everyone’s favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal, dessert. Tired of the same old selections of pumpkin pie or pecan pie? Then get ready for Velveeta Cheesecake, yes the process cheese product just got a lot more interesting. If your mouth is watering then you either have severely skewed tastes in desserts, or you should turn away from your computer screen to avoid damage caused by the Exorcist like projection about to leave your pie hole (pun intended). Surprisingly during my cursory research into this topic, Velveeta has a few dessert uses such as Velveeta Fudge (gross).
It’s okay we’re almost done helping you stave off gorging yourself on mounds of empty calories. The last item on this off the beaten path dining excursion is an oldie but goodie, apple pie. I know what you are thinking how is apple pie an eclectic additive to already spacey list? Remember earlier I mentioned bacon is the additive ingredient of choice as of late? Well, here is where the innocent dessert of our childhood gets violated or upgraded. Instead of the puffy, crispy sweet pasty lattice you are used to seeing it has been replaced with strips of salty crispy bacon. Yep, bacon apple pie and there really isn’t much left to say about this dessert other than I don’t what you should check first, your blood sugar or cholesterol?
