Upcoming Halloween Events In SW Oklahoma (UPDATED 10/25/16)

Halloween is just under three weeks away and the stations of Townsquare Media would like to keep you up-to-date on events in the area to celebrate this scary time of the year. We will be updating this list over the next couple of weeks as more events come across our desks.

Events

Sept 30, Oct 1, 7-8, 14-15, 21-22 & 28-31

The Sanctuary in Oklahoma City, a former working mental hospital, its Oklahoma largest haunted house. Located near Frontier city, ascend into insanity with Hollywood style set design and state of the art special effects unparalleled in Oklahoma! You will think you are walking through a real-life horror movie! Admission is $20 per person, but discounts are offered for groups. The Sanctuary is located at 12101 N I- 35 Service Rd in Oklahoma City. Suggested age is 13 and over.

Oct 7-8, 14-15, 21-22 & 28-31

The Trail of Fear Scream Park is Oklahoma's largest haunted attraction and is back for its 19th year. Located in Lawton, the Trail of Fear began as a single attraction in 1998 with a small tent and outdoor maze, and has grown into the #1 rated haunted attraction in Oklahoma, ranked in the top 31 haunted attractions in the USA, and continues to grow each year attracting thousands of visitors annually. It is open each weekend in October as well as Halloween night. Admission varies depending on the activities you participate in, and the Trail of Fear is located at 11101 SE Lee Blvd in Lawton.

Oct 14-15 & 28-29

Edmond Historic Ghosts Tours in downtown Edmond. Learn about the history of the area and take a tour of historic downtown Edmond. Tour guides dress in late 1800 and early 1900 costumes. Admission is $7 per person and the tours take place each night between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Oct 21 & 22

Join the Trail of Fears at the Little River Park in Oklahoma City, featuring a haunted, carnival-themed trail through the woods of Little River Park. Best suited for 12 & up, children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets must be purchased in advance, admission is $7.50 and the Trail of Fears runs from 8p.m. to 11 p.m. both nights

Oct 22

Free Monster Movie Marathon at Midwest City Library, featuring Frankenstein, Dracula and refreshments. The marathon will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Oct 26-31

The Oklahoma City Zoo hosts their annual Halloween event from Oct 26th through the 31st. Each night will feature trick-or-treating for kids. Admission is $7 per child, with accompanying adults admitted free.

Oct 28

In Lawton, Angel's Flight Home Care will host a Family Fright Fest in their parking lot, located at 4645 W. Gore Blvd from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be free food,activities, games, live music and a trunk or treat. Donations of canned food goods to benefit the Lawton Food Bank will be accepted.

Oct 28-29

Ft. Sill will host the 7th annual Haunted House on Friday Oct 28th and Saturday Oct. 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be games, treats, a bake sale and grilled food. Donation: $2 per person

Oct 29

Chattanooga will host a movie in the park On Saturday, Oct 29th at 8 p.m. at Goodnight Park, next to the fire station.

Oct 30

The Kiowa Casino will host it 9th annual Kid's Safe Street Halloween event on Sunday, Oct 30th between 4pm and 6pm. The event will feature a candy tent, bounce house, pumpkin patch and many more kids friendly events in a safe environment. The Kiowa Casino is located at 198131 Hwy 36, in Devol, OK. Just take the I-44 south to exit 1, 1 mile north of the Oklahoma-Texas state line. Admission is free for kids 12 and under.
