The Outlaws - Wanted!

Wanted: The Outlaws, the album by Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter and Tompall Glaser, was certified platinum and became the first country album to sell 1 million copies.

The original album featured two singles, "Suspicious Minds" (#2) and "Good Hearted Woman" (#1). In 1984, this album was among the first to be issued on CD by RCA Records.

In 1988, an abridged version of this album was released on CD, omitting Waylon & Jessi's "Suspicious Minds", Tompall Glaser's "Put Another Log On The Fire" and Waylon's "Honky Tonk Heroes". The reasons for the deletions are unknown to this day.

Wanted! The Outlaws was reissued on CD on RCA Records in 1996 not only with all 11 original tracks restored but augmented with ten bonus tracks. Only one of these, Steve Earle's "Nowhere Road", had previously been unreleased.

Brenda Lee - Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree (single)

Decca releases Brenda Lee's holiday classic "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree." Lee recorded this song when she was only thirteen years old, and although  Decca released the single in both 1958 and 1959, it did not sell until Lee became a popular star in 1960.

It peaked at #14 on the charts in 1960 and re-entered the charts in 1965, peaking at #3.
