Waltons Star, Ralph Waite Dies at Age 85 [VIDEO]

I grew up watching the epic series the Waltons and it saddens me to know that Ralph Waite, who played the patriarch of the tight-knit Southern family, has died.

His manager Alan Mills has confirmed the death of star Ralph Waite and says that the cause of death has not been disclosed.

I reflect on this scene from the Waltons this Valentines day, were Ralph (John Sr) is telling 'John Boy' that a man has to make his decisions in life for himself and  to find someone you can love who can love you back.

The television series impacted not only myself but families across america for years.He will be truly missed.
