Pat Green is a legendary singer here in Texas. In the late '90s and early '00s he blazed the trails that today's Texas and Red Dirt artists still walk.

With so many hits, "Carry On," "Southbound 35," "Three Days," especially in Texas, any person you ask will likely have a different opinion of which is the best Pat Green song. And no one would be wrong.

But one hit in particular transcended Texas, and even landed Green a GRAMMY nomination. Over the weekend he performed it with the Hawkeye Marching Band and the Panther Marching Band at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. Check out the "Wave on Wave" marching band remix.

And just in case you didn't know, the University of Iowa began the new tradition last year of waving at the children at Stead Family Children's Hospital which overlooks Kinnick stadium. Everyone stands and waves to the children watching from the windows, at the end of the 1st quarter of every game. It's heart warming. Watch below:

Green's latest single "Friday's Comin'" is making its way up the Texas charts now.
