As we expected, the last week of cool overnight temps and sunshiny days have the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge changing into its Autumn tux.

While the smaller plants and shrubs have been orange and red for a few weeks now, it's the tall trees and thickets that are now starting to fall out in a pop of color. Provided the leaves don't start their mass shedding, this should be a colorful drive next week. Can't wait to pass through then.
