Western Underground transformed 2015 Country Jam into somewhat of a rodeo, pulling fans — okay, women — to their feet for a traditional country jam in the heat of the day.

The band kept their energy level high even in old school western shirts, jeans and big cowboy hats. From start to finish the crowd was excited and singing along to many of the songs.

"You're looking as beautiful as ever!" WU told fans, hoping to charm them.

The group also paid tribute to the late Chris LeDoux, playing his songs and talking about the man they call the 'King of Wyoming.' LeDoux founded the band, and they know him as a "true American icon."

This wasn't the first time Western Underground played the Country Jam Colorado stage by any means, and, judging by the compliments they directed toward the festival and the audience, they're on board to head back to Country Jam every year for the foreseeable future. They've played this stage in particular more than 20 times!

"This is like coming home for us," they explained as the crowd cheered loudly.

Western Underground mostly played upbeat country tunes on Friday (June 19), but did slow it down for a love song called "Gravitational Pull," which describes the feeling and intense chemistry that two people in love feel. "We hope you feel that pull today," the band remarked, "That love." The love for Western Underground was prevalent at Country Jam 2015.
