Who Knew Sammy Kershaw was a Politician? [VIDEO]

Sammy Kershaw had only one #1 song.  But he had ideas for his home state of Louisiana, so he turned to politics.

'She don't know she's beautiful' was Kershaw's only number one, but he had several songs in the top ten, a marriage to Lorri Morgan, and an interest in politics.  He threw his hat into the ring for Lieutenant Governor in 2007, and again in 2010 because of his deep love for his state.  He was not successful in either of those bids.
