Why Do Girls Get Tattoos Together [Survey]

Quick, when I say,"Tattoo," what's the first thing that comes to your mind?  Is it a burly sort of fella with ink down both arms and lots of leather, or is it a delicate flower on a flip-flopped foot?  Believe it or not, according to a new poll, women are getting inked more these days.

In fact, of those surveyed 59% of the women had tattoos compared to 41% of men.  Now, the shapes and sizes of the tattoos differ from men, and the survey showed that when women get their tats, they make it a shared experience.   I got my first tattoo with my son and my nephew, second one on Spring Break with the girls, so I guess I am among the 40% of women who make that experience a shared one!   There are different views on why the increase in women tattoo's, including the fact that more TV personalities are showing off their ink.
