Yesterday While Shopping I Realized How Much I Despise Shopping, The Crowds Are Annoying

Yesterday my wife asked me to go to the store on the way home from work, I forgot that it was just a day before Thanksgiving!  The crowds were horrible, the lines long, the stores understaffed, and people were not polite.

When out and about I tend to always be polite and courteous, according to my wife and friends, sometimes to a fault.  I use ma'am and sir when talking to strangers, younger or older, and generally allow people to cut ahead of me in line when they have just an item or two.

But after shopping for some odds and ends yesterday, I am definitely disheartened at the way my 'fellow men' are behaving.  Courtesy and kindness have left the building!

Maybe I am reading this wrong and the lack of kindness was merely a reaction to my cowboy hat, but I don't think so.
