Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles has an interesting new hobby -- Broadway. She has taken on the role of Roxy Hart in the stage revival of Chicago, a role made famous in the movie by Renee Zellwigger. AS you can see in the video of Jennifer as she rehearses for the role along with co-star Carly Hughes, Broadway is the place Jennifer was born to play.

With an iconic score by John Kander and Fred Ebb and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse, Chicago is a musical tale of "murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery and treachery—all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts." The current cast includes Amy Spanger, Amra-Faye-Wright as Velma Kelly, Pasquale Aleardi as Billy Flynn, Paul C. Vogt as Amos Hart, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Matron “Mama” Morton and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

The revival of the Tony Award winning play opens tonight at the Ambassador Theater, and Nettles' run as Roxy Hart is scheduled to run through March 29th.
