Zac Brown of the Grammy award-winning Zac Brown Band is passionate about music. But he's also deeply devoted to helping children, with the dream of opening Camp Southern Ground. To turn that dream into reality, the singer has partnered with Los Angeles-based jewelry designer Tim Foster of Pennroyal Studio to create a hand-crafted pendant, with the proceeds benefiting the camp.

Camp Southern Ground -- which Brown is hoping to open in 2014 -- will be a 500-acre Georgia camp catering to children of all abilities and socio-economic backgrounds.

"There is nothing more worthwhile than helping kids," the 'Chicken Fried' singer says. "I want everyone who wears this necklace to know that they are helping to make a difference in the lives of these kids that will last them a lifetime."

This isn't the first time Pennyroyal has created a charitable design, but Foster says that Brown shines among artists who want to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

"Zac and I met a few years ago and talked about collaborating on a design to help kids and I am beyond proud to support his vision for Camp Southern Ground," he explains. "I love working with passionate artists and passionate fan bases to make a difference in the world and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone more passionate than Zac and the Zamily.”

The limited release Zac Brown Band necklace, which is a handcrafted guitar pick-shaped pendant, will be available to order from Aug. 8 through Sept. 9, with 30 percent of the proceeds benefiting the camp. Prices start at $55 and can be purchased here.

The country star's passion for notable causes is 'uncaged,' and he is an inspiration to country music fans everywhere!
