Watch Batman Fight The Terminator In A Stop-Motion Short Film, Because It’s Friday And You Deserve Something Nice
For some reason, everyone seems to be buzzing this week about Batman fighting people in the movies - even more so than usual, I mean. If that's the kind of story that's sparked your interest today, then friend, you could do a lot worse than spending the next six minutes watching Batman vs. Terminator, a stop-motion fan-film in which the Dark Knight returns in a future dominated by Skynet and its killer robots.
Produced by YouTuber Captain McKay - who I think we can assume was bitten by a radioactive McKay at some point in the past - the project uses Mezco's Dark Knight Returns Batman figure and NECA's Terminator figure, and the results are pretty amazing. Give it a watch!
McDonald’s Has Launched A Recruitment Campaign Using Anime, All Other Anime Has Been Rendered Obsolete
Oh, you like anime? Yeah, that's pretty cool, I guess, but I've kind of moved past stuff like Dragon Ball and Naruto and onto something a little more sophisticated. Hm? Oh, my favorite series? That's easy: it's called The New McDonald's Recruiting Campaign About A Girl Who Gets A Job At McDonald's And Has To Earn Her Supervisor's Trust and Friendship Through Hard Work And Dedication. It's pretty much the best series I've ever seen.
Witness Musical History With ‘Archie 75 Series: Josie And The Pussycats’ [Preview]
With Archie and Jughead already part of the reboot, Betty and Veronica on the way soon and Sabrina the Teenage Witch reimagined as a gothic Lovecraftian horror story, the one major title that seems missing from Archie's current lineup is Josie and the Pussycats. It seems almost inevitable that we're going to get them at some point --- especially considering that we've been due for a Josie revival for coming up on fifteen years now --- but it doesn't seem like one is planned.
Tthat doesn't mean you can't catch up on the classic adventures of Midvale's greatest rockers with the latest installment of the Archie 75 Series. It's a 75-page digital collection set to collect stories from the long history of the Pussycats --- dating back to before they even were the Pussycats --- and you can check out a preview right here!

The Sensational Character Find Of 1940: Celebrating The First Appearance Of Robin
In Detective Comics #27, when he first appears courtesy of Bill Finger and Bob Kane, Batman isn't really Batman just yet. He's the Shadow with a different set of clothes. Over the course of that first year, you can see the pieces start to fall into place that would stay there for the next seven decades, forming the foundation of the Batman that we still have today --- and in Detective Comics #38, released March 5th 1940, the final piece of the puzzle appears when we're introduced to Dick Grayson, better known as Robin, the Boy Wonder.
Happy Birthday to Superman, the Leap Day Baby!
February 29 is a day that has a little bit of magic to it, if only because it's the one date on the calendar that won't show up next year. It's literally an extra day, a hiccup in the order of months, and that makes it feel like it comes with infinite possibilities. It's a day for something special, something unique, full of strange promises that show us that even the calendar isn't immutable and unchanging.
And that, more than anything else, is what makes it perfect for Superman's birthday.
Dawn Of Nunchuks: Piecing Together The Entire, 100% Accurate Plot Of ‘Batman V Superman’ Through Action Figures
Like it or not, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is this year's most highly anticipated superhero movie, but for those of you looking forward to it, the month we still have to wait until its release must seem like an eternity. We're all caught in a terrifying limbo, not knowing how hard those two heroes are going to v each other, or whether they'll be doing it with an array of highly marketable accessories. There's an endless stream of questions that simply won't be answered until the movie hits theaters. Or so it would seem.
While I haven't seen the movie, I have walked down the toy aisle at my local department store, and I think I've managed to piece together the entire plot of the movie based solely on the various Batman v Superman action figures and playsets. After all, they only use the most important and plot-relevant scenes from the movie for the toys, right? And I have to say, it's a lot better than I thought it would be.

The Pokemon 20th Anniversary Super Bowl Commercial Will Make You Cry About Pikachu Again
If you've been reading ComicsAlliance for long enough, then it absolutely will not surprise you to learn that nothing makes me more emotional than Pokemon. They're just so... they just want to be friends and to grow stronger through the firebreathing dog equivalent of martial arts! They just want you to be your best!
And that, my friends, is what Nintendo and the Pokemon Company are highlighting with their upcoming Super Bowl commercial. Give it a watch, but prepare to start sobbing.
Dutch Angles And Deathtraps: Celebrating The 50th Anniversary Of ‘Batman’ ’66
The camera, tilted diagonally, pans across the crowded dance floor of a nightclub called What A Way To Go-Go as Batman casually walks in through the front door. The music continues, but the dancing stops, as Gotham citizens take notice of the world's most famous crime-fighter in their midst. One of them shouts and points, almost fainting, a cigarette girl offers to check his cape, and the club's owner comes over to personally welcome him, asking if he'd like a table. "I'll stand at the bar," replies Batman, standing in the middle of the crowd in a cape, mask and tights, a bright yellow utility belt full of batarangs and explosives around his waist, "I shouldn't wish to attract attention."
That, according to interviews, was the scene where Adam West understood exactly how to play the role that would make him famous: Reserved and stilted and almost painfully square despite the inherent ridiculousness of everything around him. And fifty years ago today, on January 12, 1966, that scene was broadcast as part of the debut of Batman, the television series that would define not just its title character, but --- for better or worse --- the place of superheroes in American pop culture for at least a generation.
The Batman ’66 Episode Guide 1×09: Zelda the Great
The 1966 Batman television show was one of the most successful and influential adaptations of comic books to mass media of all time. Over the course of three seasons and 120 episodes, the series became a cultural force with its unique combination of tongue-in-cheek humor, thrilling superhero adventure and celebrity guest stars, and shaped the way the public would view the Caped Crusader for the next five decades. Now, in the midst of a well-deserved renaissance of the show, ComicsAlliance is proud to present The Batman '66 Episode Guide, an in-depth examination of every single adventure, arch-criminal and deathtrap cliffhanger of the series.
This week, Zelda the Great plots to ensnare Batman in an Inescapable Doom Trap... and attacks Wayne Manor to do it!
Bizarro Ruins Everything In ‘LEGO Justice League vs. Bizarro League’ Preview Clip
Those of you who spend all your time watching superhero cartoons made for tiny babies (and by that I mean me) may have noticed that there was a half-hour special late last year called LEGO Justice League: Batman Beleagured. If you missed it, it was a very blocky origin story for how Batman joined the Justice League, and it was actually pretty great -- especially the twist ending.
Now, it seems that they're following it up with a second special, and this time, it's about Bizarro arriving in Metropolis and doing... well, exactly what Bizarro does every time he shows up, which is screw things up on a catastrophic level and terrify the populace. And apparently, that's just the tip of a mixed-up iceberg that's going to involve an entire Bizarro League.
