The Spring Bass Bite is On Across Oklahoma
It almost appears as if the early-spring prediction from Farmer's Almanac is coming to fruition... the bass are on the bite this week across Oklahoma.
As the lake conditions improve with the weather, many species of fish are starting their annual feast to bulk up for the spawn. These are the days anglers wait for all winter long!
If you're curious about where to fish and what to fish with, you can always follow the fishing reports over on the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation website... but you'd be surprised how many anglers share their honey holes on Facebook.
All the same, this time of year bass really don't care what you're tossing... If they're hungry they'll bite dang near anything.
Caught this fatty in February on what was left of my last black craw, it was down to just a chunky piece of rubbery plastic.
The days are getting longer and warmer, get out and catch something.
Pro-Tip... If you have a fishing license, the refuge lakes are free to fish and full of lunkers.
