Even though the weather is going to put up a fight this weekend, it's practically the Spooky Season in Oklahoma... or at least, we're gonna just proclaim it is.

Now is the time to start making your October plans and for most, that includes at least one trip to a Sooner State haunted house. Whether your interest lies in vampires or good old-fashioned being chased by some dude with a chainsaw, Oklahoma has it all in every corner of the state.

I used to really enjoy the haunted houses that Frontier City had, but the stakes have been upped every year since becoming an adult. As such, the parks and haunted houses have become even more terrifying.

The scariest one we've been to didn't even have a cast of characters. It was just a dark, abandoned warehouse we had to find our way through. Like a haunted maze with really crappy flashlights.

Nothing jumped out at us, but the expectation of that happening at any moment was nerve-racking. Turns out, the scariest thing in the building was our collective imaginations. 10/10, would do again.
