Oklahoma’s Wildest Sporting Goods Store has a Ferris Wheel Inside
Over the weekend, Tulsa's newest sporting goods retailer opened to rave reviews. Much like the Bass Pro in Broken Arrow, it's two stories of shopping... but unlike BP, it's a combination of all Oklahoma sporting goods stores plus an arcade and carnival all in one.

With a line of people waiting to get in far beyond expectations, it was a day to take in all of the sights and experience how the Midwest-owned company does business.
Instantly, Oklahomans are fans. Details on social media range from amazed, lots of excitement, even one detailed account of how Scheels is the ultimate Sooner State redneck mini-Mall of America.
@malachihead4 @SCHEELS has made it to TULSA OKLAHOMA! They open October 19th! 250,000 sq feet of Retail Adventure! They have all types of different brand clothing for men, women, and children, Hunting essentials, sporting goods, home decor, pet supplies, fishing needs AND SO MUCH MORE! #scheels #tulsaok ♬ Live Your Beautiful Life - Gray Griggs
It's also more than just sporting goods. They have home decor, furniture, apparel, games, the Ferris wheel of course, food, and even more.
Shockingly, Scheels stuck to their guns, having a guns and ammo section of the store - a rarity in politically correct big business - and the Oklahoma firearm communities had overall positive things to say about the selections. Plenty of guns and ammo, but also bits and pieces like powder and primers at prices that were reported as liveable.
Oklahoma anglers were also overwhelmingly positive about the fishing selections too, as finding fishing gear has been quite the uphill battle in the Sooner State since the pandemic. Even at the outdoor retail giants of Bass Pro and Cabela's, empty shelves and limited selections have been the reported norm for years now.
@the918agent Are you going!? Tulsa SCHEELS Grand Opening is on October 19th!! Party starts at 7:00 AM and doors open at 9:30 AM ❤️ @SCHEELS #tulsascheels ♬ original sound - Stephen Hester
If you didn't catch the grand opening, you can always swing by the next time you're in Tulsa. It looks like quite the thing to experience.
