Renowned Chinese Restaurant in Lawton, Oklahoma Announces Closure

After five years of serving the Lawton/Fort Sill community, the staff at the Beijing Restaurant and Bar announced on Facebook that they will be closing their doors permanently on Thursday, May 1 to allow the owner. Ms. Julie, to retire. As they say, all good things must come to an end.

Iconic Chinese Restaurant Beijing Announces Closure

After opening in the midst of 2020, the Beijing Restaurant was one of the most popular stops in Lawton because of their elequence and variety of quality asian foods. The staff at the restaurant shared their heartfelt goodbyes through their Facebook announcement, thanking all of the Lawton area for their support over the years.

"We want to express our deepest gratitude to each one of you who has supported us throughout the years," they wrote, "Without you guys there would be no Beijing." In an effort to give back to the community once more, Beijing announced that customers would receive a 20% discount on the entire menu starting Thursday, March 20 until the day they close.

Restaurant Business Ends To Start Owner's Retirement Journey

The owner, Ms. Julie, has been working diligently to give Oklahomans the best asian cuisine around in southwest Oklahoma. When approached with the end of their lease, the business owners decided the best move was to take advantage of the great times they have had in Lawton and close their doors in order to enjoy the retirement they've earned.
