This weekend is part of one of the nationally known biggest homecoming events in the country, happening right here in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma State University (OSU) Homecoming typically brings thousands of alumni and OSU lovers together, but this year there seems to be an even bigger guest possibly making an appearance.

Cross Canadian Ragweed Has a History of Hinting

Earlier this year, the long-loved red dirt band Cross Canadian Ragweed confirmed their reunion dates for April 2025. After days of fans trying to get tickets, and many being unable to get any, they eventually added 2 more dates to the reunion. Now, Cross Canadian Ragweed has been hinting at another opportunity fans could see them - and it could be this weekend.

The band has been sharing posts about how their families have grown since they last came together. The band originally started out of Stillwater and had strong roots tied to OSU. So, it came as no surprise that children from the band members were also OSU students currently, some even participating in this year's homecoming.

Suspicious Posts About A Possible Surprise Show

Posts about the kiddos and their experience with Cross Canadian's haitus and reunion  have hinted at a possible appearance on homecoming night, before the game. From CCR's post about Julia Ragsdale on October 27, the band wrote:

"We can’t wait to see Julia at Homecoming this weekend! Are you planning to be there? Rumor has it that we may see the boys on the field before the game."

In another post a few days following, they released another statement about two more kids being introduced to the Cross Canadian family, including Charlie Cross. They wrote:

"She’s excited for OSU Homecoming this weekend and can’t wait to watch her big bro on stage with his band (and probably Cody)."

Could these posts mean that Cross Canadian is planning an actual surprise performance before the big game against Arizona this weekend in Stillwater?

Any Confirmations of Their Appearance in Stillwater This Weekend?

Stillwater does have at least one of the Cross Canadian Ragweed crew confirmed to perform on November 1, 2024 at Eskimo Joe's Homecoming Tailgate. Starting at 6 p.m., Cody Canada and the Departed will be performing with other special guests.

Oklahoma State Atheletics also announced that the band will be there as the OPVIP guest.

But as for a show specifically before the football game on Saturday, November 2 against Arizona State, there is no official confirmation besides the comments on Cross Canadian Ragweed's posts.

The first to know will likely be folks following the band, OSU Atheletics and those with the Orange Connection app with all of the Homecoming information.

What do you think? Will we be seeing the band together before the reunion concerts next year? Tell us what you think through the app.
