
Rarest Food Finds in Oklahoma That Are Actually In High Demand
If there's anything that we're all excited for around this time of year, it's food. Granted, most of us in Oklahoma are craving the usual fall favorites like chili, chicken and dumplings and roasts. But, there are plenty of people still looking for a bit of variety when it comes to eating out - something we're lacking in the sooner state.
While we do have different ethnic groups living here, most of the food places here in the sooner state serve American food, Mexican food and Southern comfort foods. Unfortunately, there's a pretty noticable gap between them and other cuisine options.
According to studies like the one from Clarify Capital, Oklahomans aren't too happy with the lack of options. What would you rather have coming to Oklahoma?
Studies show that Oklahomans are sick of fast food & crave more Asian cuisine.
Believe it or not, one of the highest demands in food right now in Oklahoma City and Tulsa is Asian Cuisine. But finding places that serve asian foods is like spotting a Boone-Pickens fan in Norman. After all, here in Lawton, we only have four places that serve Asian cuisine.

If you aren't sure what you would rather have moved in to Oklahoma, there's a good chance you, like the rest of us, have an idea of what you don't want to see any more of: fast food.

Another key finding from the study proves that people aren't searching for their favorite fast food options anymore, despite there being an unreasonable amount of options in the area.

As of August, IBIS World reported that there were 3,502 fast food restaurants in Oklahoma alone. Compared to the 2,983 non-fast food restaurants scattered throughout the state, its' clear fast food is everywhere.
Recent closings in Lawton, Oklahoma could encourage more options.
This year, we've seen a few places close down, including some mom-and-pop restaurants in the Lawton area, such as Mama Donatos, Ted's Escondido, and others. The local Texas Roadhouse even closed its doors to the original location here in Lawton, but reopened in a newly built location.
